Departments

The Administration and Supplies Department is responsible for providing administrative support and managing the logistical needs of the Ministry. Key functions include:

• Human Resources Management: Recruitment, training, and development of staff members.
• Office Administration: Maintenance of office facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Records Management: Organization and maintenance of official records, files, and documents.
• Procurement and Inventory Management: Acquisition of goods and services, inventory control, and asset management.

The Finance and Accounts Department oversees the financial management and budgetary control of the Ministry’s resources. Core responsibilities include:

• Budget Preparation and Implementation: Developing annual budgets and monitoring expenditure to ensure compliance with financial regulations and guidelines.
• Revenue Generation: Collecting revenues, fees, and other income streams accruing to the Ministry.
• Financial Reporting: Preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis to provide accurate and timely information for decision-making.
• Audit and Compliance: Conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations. 

The Pilgrims Welfare Board is responsible for coordinating pilgrimages and providing welfare services to pilgrims traveling to holy sites. Key activities include:

• Pilgrimage Planning and Coordination: Organizing travel arrangements, accommodations, and transportation for pilgrims.
• Welfare Support: Providing medical assistance, counseling, and guidance to pilgrims during their journey.
• Liaison with Religious Authorities: Establishing relationships and coordinating with religious leaders and institutions to facilitate pilgrimages.
• Compliance and Regulation: Ensuring adherence to regulations, guidelines, and standards governing pilgrimages and religious tourism.

The Fire Services Department is tasked with ensuring public safety through fire prevention, emergency response, and disaster management. Core functions include:

• Fire Prevention and Education: Conducting fire safety inspections, awareness campaigns, and training programs for the public.
• Emergency Response: Responding to fire incidents, rescue operations, and other emergencies to protect lives and property.
• Firefighting Operations: Operating fire stations, equipment, and vehicles to extinguish fires and mitigate their impact.
• Disaster Preparedness and Management: Developing disaster response plans, conducting drills, and coordinating with other agencies for disaster relief efforts.

The Youth Department focuses on youth development, empowerment, and engagement initiatives. Key areas of work include:

• Skills Development and Training: Providing vocational training, entrepreneurship programs, and career guidance to youth.
• Youth Engagement: Creating platforms for youth participation in governance, decision-making, and community development.
• Sports and Recreation: Promoting sports activities, tournaments, and recreational opportunities to foster healthy lifestyles and social inclusion among youth.
• Youth Centers: Establishing and operating youth centers as hubs for learning, creativity, and social interaction.

The Community Development Department is dedicated to promoting community-based initiatives, grassroots empowerment, and social cohesion. Key activities include:

• Community Mobilization: Engaging communities in identifying their needs, priorities, and solutions through participatory processes.
• Project Implementation: Implementing development projects and programs aimed at improving livelihoods, infrastructure, and social services in communities.
• Capacity Building: Building the capacity of community leaders, groups, and organizations to plan, manage, and sustain development activities.
• Collaboration and Networking: Partnering with local governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and maximize impact at the grassroots level.
